plastship Material Stories – On the Road to FACHPACK & K-Messe: Top Recyclates in Focus

With the “plastship Material Stories” series, plastship accompanies the journey to the two most important industry events of the year – FACHPACK 2025in Nuremberg and K-Messe 2025 in Düsseldorf. Each edition highlights a selected recyclate from our portfolio, exemplifying quality, consistency, and the potential of a functioning circular plastics economy.

Material in Focus: PE-LLD + PE-LD Recyclate from Post-Consumer Films

A highlight in our top recyclates category is high-quality LLDPE and LDPE recyclate derived from post-consumer films. This material offers the following benefits:

  • Consistent availability upon request
  • Traceable origin from audited collection and processing streams
  • Reliable quality, verified through mechanical, rheological, and visual analyses

The PE-LLD+PE-LD post-consumer transparent recyclate is ideal for producing new films and stands out due to:

- Transparent and uniform appearance
- Stable rheological properties (MFR 1.9–2.1 g/10 min)
- Cleanliness: every batch undergoes a six-step washing process and is tested on blown films, with visible contamination eliminated

This material demonstrates how reliable supply chains and strict quality standards can enable the use of recyclates in applications previously reserved for virgin materials.

Benchmarking and KISS: Making Quality Comparable

To help customers assess the potential of materials like PE-LLD+PE-LD, our top recyclates are systematically included in the Recycled Materials Benchmark. This provides processors with key data – from density and MFR to optical parameters.

The KISS project takes it a step further: AI-driven analysis automatically classifies material samples and assigns them to the optimal recycling paths. This not only creates transparency but also enables a targeted, high-quality application of recyclates.

Experience it at the Trade Shows

Visitors to

  • FACHPACK 2025 (24–26 September, Nuremberg, Hall 5, Booth 101)
  • and K-Messe 2025 (16–23 October, Düsseldorf, Hall 7, Booth 70SU-04)

can see it for themselves. plastship will present selected top recyclates like the PE-LLD+PE-LD example – demonstrating how benchmarking and KISS bring transparency and quality to the market.

Conclusion

With our “plastship Material Stories” series, we put materials at the center of advancing Europe’s circular economy. The PE-LLD+PE-LD recyclate from post-consumer films exemplifies how verified quality, digital tools, and sustainable recycling processes expand the use of recyclates – a preview of the highlights plastship will showcase at FACHPACK and K-Messe.
