Key topics: PPWR in focus
One of the main focal points at the RIGK stand was the new EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), which is currently a priority for many businesses. Numerous discussions centred around the implementation of extended producer responsibilities, compliance documentation, and practical pathways to meet future requirements.
With the newly established PACKLIANCE GmbH (in formation), a solution was presented that supports companies across Europe in the safe implementation of the PPWR – from consultancy and authorised representatives through to the compliance process.
“The response to PACKLIANCE shows just how strong the demand is for clear and practical structures in order to implement the new rules efficiently and in full legal conformity,” emphasised Maria Hentze, Business Director at PACKLIANCE.
A broad solution portfolio: From take-back systems to digitalisation
In addition to regulatory issues, RIGK’s established services were in the spotlight:
- Take-back systems and packaging licensing – legally compliant and customer-focused
- Certification through PlastCert – tested quality and transparency
- Tailored disposal concepts for industry and commerce
plastship complemented the portfolio with its digital approaches:
- AI-based flow optimisation within the KISS project
- Filterable material database with over 2,500 data sets
- Transparent material qualification for the safe use of recyclates
“The combination of decades of experience in take-back systems and our digital solutions at plastship has been a real added value for our visitors,” said Andreas Bastian, Managing Director of plastship.
