Industry associations such as the BVSE – Federal Association for Secondary Raw Materials and Waste Management are therefore calling for targeted political action to safeguard the circular economy in Europe. plastship explicitly supports these demands.

This year’s Earth Overshoot Day occurred on 24 July, marking the earliest date ever recorded. This symbolic yet scientifically grounded day signals the point in the year when humanity's resource consumption exceeds what Earth’s ecosystems can regenerate in twelve months. According to the Global Footprint Network, we are now using resources at 1.8 times the planet’s regenerative capacity. Germany alone would need three Earths to sustain its current way of living.

July 24, 2025 · Greater efficiency, higher quality, more recycling – this is the goal of the KISS project.
Together with strong industry partners and under the leadership of RIGK GmbH, plastship is working to analyse, optimise, and bring greater transparency to plastic material flows through the use of artificial intelligence.

April 7, 2025 · From April 1 to 2, 2025, plastship presented practical solutions for promoting the circular economy at the Plastics Recycling Show Europe (PRSE) in Amsterdam, alongside RIGK GmbH and Hannawald Plastik GmbH. Despite the current challenges in the recycling market, the mood at plastship was optimistic and solution-oriented.

September 2, 2024 · From 24 to 26 September 2024, the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre will host FACHPACK, Europe’s leading trade fair for packaging, technology, and processing. Together with its parent company, RIGK GmbH, plastship will showcase innovative solutions for a sustainable plastics-based packaging industry at booth 220 in Hall 5.
